I have a long-held interest in health and wellbeing which I have balanced against a career with WA Police. Between 2007 and 2009 I worked as a therapist with the Emotional, Social Wellbeing Centre in Kalgoorlie to assist and empower local people to take ownership of their health.  Upon my arrival in Busselton, I joined the Man Walk as a fit and healthy individual, only to find I later faced challenges to my own wellbeing.  I am through that period now and remain grateful for the support I gained from the group along the way. In recent times I have undertaken post-graduate research which I hope to continue within the men’s health field.

After moving from Melbourne to Perth to play football and then traveling overseas, I commenced a 17-year career with Ansett Australia. My wife and I decided to move to the South West in 1994 and took up the role of General Manager of a major Sporting Club, and later the local Tourism Association. Wanting to work closer to home I set up my own Travel Agency and operated Skywest Holidays in Western Australia for Skywest Airlines. Whilst living in the South West, I became involved in many community projects including the Rotary Club, Superules (Football) and Aussie Masters (Swimming) the Tennis Club as well as starting the Western Australian Guitar Festival.

I've proudly called the Busselton community home since 2016. At the age of 16, I earned a diploma in leadership and management, laying the foundation for my journey as a community leader. In 2023, I was honored to receive the Busselton Community Citizen of the Year award, a recognition that fuels my commitment to our community. Over the past four years, my focus has shifted towards mental health advocacy, where I now serve as a facilitator and the owner of a local not-for-profit run club and men's circles. This award, coupled with my dedication to fostering mental health awareness, aligns seamlessly with our organization's values. I am enthusiastic about contributing to the board, steering us towards a healthier future for Busselton.
