About the event

A session for dads and father-like figures on how they can support teenage boys to intentionally move into manhood understanding and pursuing a positive model of masculinity.


With pressures from society and others around them, it is incredibly difficult for boys to project what kind of man they want to be? Many key issues are often considered taboo topics, so the conversations, reflection and support systems just aren’t there around healthy masculinity and the move from boyhood to manhood.


With little to no guidance given in how to become a man, how do boys make the right decisions with so much temptation to make the wrong ones? This session will explore how we can help teenage boys to understand what it means to be a man by focusing on important concepts such as respect for women, having conversations on big issues, anger and pornography.
